Behind the Design: Erda is named for the Old Norse root Jörð, meaning Earth—reflected in the forest-green Aventurine at its core. Each stone is held within a Box Weave, where interlocking rings capture the spheres while allowing the piece to move freely. Despite the density of the metal, the bracelet doesn’t feel rigid—when worn or handled, it shifts, settles, and drapes with a smooth, fluid motion. It moves with you. It doesn’t fight you. A piece built with structure, but defined by how it flows.

Quick Answers

What is a chainmail bracelet?
A chainmail bracelet is built from individually connected metal rings, forming a flexible, interlocked structure rather than a solid or woven piece.

What does “captured beads” mean?
Captured beads are held in place by the surrounding rings. They are secured within the structure and do not move freely along the bracelet.

Is the bracelet flexible or rigid?
Chainmail is flexible, but less flexible than standard chain link. It moves naturally with the wrist, but forcing it into tight angles can damage the structure

Is this bracelet handmade?
Yes. Each ring is placed and connected by hand, creating the final structure.

How do you open and close the toggle clasp?
Slide the bar through the ring to open. To close, pass the bar back through the ring and rotate it so it rests across the opening.

Tip: Keep slight tension on the bracelet when closing to help hold the bar in place.
