The Solava collection is a celebration of the ancient Viking knit, also called Viking weave, a technique where wire is drawn through a series of interlocking loops to form a dense, circular strand. The name comes from the Old Norse Sola, to wrap or wind, and Va, to fold, describing the continuous, singular nature of the wire as it takes shape. Each piece emphasizes the transition from individual wires into a unified, high-density cord that stays flexible while holding its knit structure.
